Indigo Gets Dual Power of Education and Trade in Uttar Pradesh
To promote indigo cultivation in Uttar Pradesh, an MoU was signed between AMA Herbal Group and the Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at Lucknow's Integral University. The objective is to develop indigo as a major cash crop for the state and increase farmers' income.
Under this agreement, the university will provide technical support for scientific indigo farming, better seeds, and training. Farmers will be educated on the proper methods to increase production. AMA Herbal Group will be responsible for procuring the crop, connecting it to the market, and subsequent processing.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Javed Musarrat, Head of the Agriculture Department Prof. Saba Siddiqui, Head of the Biotechnology Department Dr. Wajah-ul-Haq, Co-founder and CEO of AMA Herbal Group Dr. Yawer Ali Shah, Vice President Mr. Hamza Zaidi, and Registrar Mr. Haris Siddiqui. On this occasion, gratitude was expressed for the cooperation of Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Nida Fatima and Dr. Nadeem Akhtar. This initiative is seen as a new beginning towards sustainable and profitable agriculture in the state.
Dr. Yawer Ali Shah said, "Educational institutions and industries are experts in their respective areas. The integration of both creates a synergy. This ensures the commercial approach of industries and a better future for the children studying in the institutes. The Government of India also desires this, and AMA is moving forward with this very thought."
