Watch, Remember and Say #MillionThankYou: Airtel IPTV’s Independence Day Watchlist
Independence Day is a time to revisit the stories, people and moments that have shaped India. This year, Airtel IPTV brings together a watchlist of films and stories that celebrate courage, sacrifice, resilience and the many ways people have served the nation.
Leading the watchlist is Operation Safed Sagar, a powerful story inspired by the Indian Air Force’s Golden Arrows Squadron and its role during the 1999 Kargil War. The series brings audiences closer to the courage, precision and sacrifice of the air warriors who served in some of the conflict’s most challenging conditions.
The story also forms the heart of a special collaboration between Airtel and Netflix this Independence Day. Through Operation Safed Sagar, the two brands are inviting audiences to look back at an important chapter in India’s history and turn that remembrance into a collective expression of gratitude.
One Nation. A Million Thank Yous.
Through #MillionThankYou, Airtel and Netflix are inviting people across India to honour the Indian Air Force and express their gratitude.
Airtel has set up Thank You Stations across 11 cities in 10 states, giving people an opportunity to share their messages of gratitude. For those who cannot make it to a store, Airtel’s dedicated WhatsApp journey allows people to participate in the nationwide tribute from anywhere in India. A special screening of Operation Safed Sagar was also held for the real-life Air Force heroes behind the mission. Watch the special screening here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDE_7Gpse2o
But Operation Safed Sagar is only one of the many stories worth revisiting this Independence Day.
