Yatharth Hospital Sector-110, Noida Organizes Successful Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day

Noida : On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector-110, Noida successfully organized a two-day Blood Donation Camp on June 13 and 14. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from voluntary blood donors who came forward to contribute towards saving the lives of patients in need.

The camp was organized at the hospital’s Blood Centre, where doctors, hospital staff, local residents, and members of various social organizations actively participated in the noble cause.
The primary objective of the initiative was to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and ensure the availability of safe blood for patients requiring emergency and critical care.

As part of the event, a health awareness session was conducted by Dr. Pallav Mishra, Senior Consultant – Internal Medicine, Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Sector-110, Noida, who shared valuable insights on blood donation and addressed common misconceptions associated with it.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mishra said, “Blood donation is one of the most selfless acts that can help save lives. For a healthy individual, donating blood is completely safe and does not cause any long-term weakness. Despite this, several myths and misconceptions continue to discourage people from donating blood. It is important to educate the public and encourage regular voluntary blood donation.”

He further emphasized that blood is frequently required for trauma cases, major surgeries, cancer treatment, thalassemia patients, and several other critical medical conditions. In such situations, the contribution of regular voluntary blood donors becomes invaluable in ensuring timely treatment and saving lives.
