The 68th Annual IOA Conference 2023 is being held in Lucknow, and world-renowned orthopaedics experts will be present on one platform

The 68th annual conference of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, “IOACON 2023,” will be held from December 14 to 17, 2023, at the Ekana Sports Complex in the capital city of Lucknow. This mega event will bring together global experts in the field of orthopaedics on one platform to share their expertise and discuss new medical technologies.
The theme of the IOA Conference 2023, “Navigating into the Future,” reflects the IOA's commitment to advancing orthopaedic healthcare in India and across the world. The scientific programme will include a variety of seminars, case studies, and instructional lectures by eminent speakers from India and abroad.
The 3D Printing and Augmented Reality Workshop will be organised by Dr. Saif Shah under the leadership of Dr. Lalit Maini. Dr. Rajesh Malhotra will lead the arthroplasty hip session, and Dr. Saurav Shukla will be the coordinator. The Arthroscopy Knee Workshop, organised under the chairmanship of Dr. Sachin Tapasvi, will be conducted by Dr. Ashish Kumar.
Dr. Ajay Singh will lead the Paediatric Orthopaedics workshop while Dr Suresh Chand will coordinate the event   Dr. Ramesh Sen will chair the Pelvi-acetabular (Cadaveric) session, with Dr. Dharmendra Kumar as the session convener. Dr. Mayank Mahendra will be the coordinator of the AO Basic Course under the guidance of Dr. Anup Aggarwal.
Dr. S.K.S. Marya will head the Arthroplasty Knee Workshop, and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor will serve as the coordinator. Dr. Sanjay Rastogi will chair the Knee Osteotomy and Preservation Workshop, and Dr. Santosh Singh will be the convener.
Additionally, Dr. S. Dr. Shah Waliullah will be the coordinator of the spine (cadaveric) workshop under the leadership of Dr Rajasekaran. The Trauma Proximal Femur Workshop will be chaired by Dr. Dhawal Desai and Dr. P. Shamsheri will be present as the convener.
Eminent speakers will deliver lectures in a series of special lectures. Dr. Ramesh Sen, a renowned pelvic acetabular surgeon, will present the Dr. MG Kini Memorial Lecture. Dr. Anil Jain, former President of the Indian Orthopaedic Association, will share insights during the Golden Jubilee Lecture. Dr. Vikas Khanduja, President-Elect of SICOT UK will deliver the Balu Shankaran Lecture while Dr. Vikram Singh, IPS, former DGP, UP, will present the Diamond Jubilee Address. Additionally, Dr. Vishal Kumar of PGIMER, Chandigarh, will deliver the Silver Jubilee Lecture, and Dr. Ashish Gulia, Director, Tata Memorial Centre, Punjab, India, will contribute to the programme with the Saibal Shekhar Lecture.
Eminent medical experts will grace the conclave with their informative lectures. These eminent names include Dr. Ananth Joshi, Director of Sports Medicine in Mumbai presenting Dr. B. Mukhopadhyay Lecture; Dr. Kevin Bozik, President of AAOS USA giving Dr. AK Talwalkar Lecture; Dr. M.V. Reddy, Director of Sunshine High Hospital in Secunderabad wil deliver Dr. M. Natarajan Lecture .
Pioneer hip preservation surgeons in India, Dr. N.K. Magu and Dr. PS Maini, will share their unique knowledge and experience during their lectures. Other notable speakers includeDr. Deborah Eastwood, former President of BOA, UK; Dr. Mandeep Dhillon, President of AO Trauma Asia Pacific, India; Dr. Ross Crawford from St Vincent's Specialist Centre, Brisbane, Australia and Dr. SKS Marya, former President of JOA, India.
 
Renowned experts in the field of orthopaedics will deliver keynote addresses at the conclave, including Dr. Inho Jeon, President APHLUS Korea and Dr. Marinis Pirpiris, President CD AO Trauma Asia Pacific, Australia who will share their experiences. Dr. Sachin Tapasvi, President, APSA India; Dr. Sanjay Dhawan, President-Elect, Central Zone IOA India; and Dr. Vrusha Madhuri from CMC Vellore India will also share their enlightening experiences.
